    Journeys of the Heart

    Journeys of the Heart

    I am     small      fragile

carried on the air like a thought,

    a breath, a sigh

    filled with colour ever changing

like a bubble      here      then gone,

    and in the morning

        I am born again

           here to catch the sun

    and let light      joy      song

    fill the spaces

    where my heart

        once beat

             for you.

    I remember the ache

    so sweet

        so sweet

            so strong

    pulling me willingly

    to you.

    Your kiss

        danced like butterflies

    through my spirit.

    The thought of you

was like sunlight on the water.

    In that instant of sunsparkle,

    we stood for eternity

    almost.

    I am whole       grounded       warm

    spinning like a galaxy

    around the unknowable

    and yet content

    in my unknowing

    for I am both

    here

    and gone

    as it has always been.
